Eye Won…..YAAAYYY!!!

blogger

Just a real quick post about winning an entry to Blogger Week 2017.

I’m really looking forward to this conference.  I have been wanting to attend for a while and intend to use this moment to reflect and deflect while listening to facilitators and networking with other bloggers in attendance.  There is so much to learn and so much to do.

If you’re passionate about something as I am about blogging, you should consider investing a much of your time and energy as possible to perfect your craft.

You will be amazed at your growth rate, meet new people, gain new colleagues,  can find partnerships, and even find ways to revamp and maximize what you’re doing.

I’ll be back next week with photos and details of things I learned.

Until next time…..

Much love,

Granny

Upgrade For The Next Level Of Intelligence

upgrade

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Now how many times have we heard that?  More than we can remember right?!

What about things that are not broke but still need upgrading?

How many times do you receive notifications about your phone, computer, or apps needing to be upgrading?  Are those things broke?  More than likely not, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t be upgraded to handle the next wave of intelligence coming through.  Or even to better handle things that are already in place.

Processing systems are things we need in our lives to give us the full quality of the quantity we already contain or possess.  For instance, you’ve already graduated college with a Master’s degree.  You land a job that pays more than average.  You run the department, and have a since of stability.  You come across a trend in the business where the demand is so much greater than it’s been in the past.  There are more prospects being hired that could fill your position easily.  Some of them, although they have much less experience than you, are hired with a higher position than yours.  What do you do?

Some people get jittery with a feeling they will no longer be needed.  So they tend to sabotage the presence of the new colleagues and lose focus of why they were hired in the first place.  Most in general, companies still have you in place because of the value you are to the company.  Why not see the value in yourself and upgrade yourself?

  • Go back to school – you don’t have to necessarily go back to a traditional college to upgrade.  Their are so many online independent schools with no accreditation, such as Udemy,  that can fulfill the need of knowledge you can obtain to make you more of an asset than a liability to the workforce.
  • YouTube – there is a wealth of knowledge you can look up and receive great sessions from people who do what you do but can give you a competitive edge without spending so much money to get it.  As a matter of fact, it’s free!
  • Google – there is a saying that, “Google is your friend.”  Google can show you pretty much anything you need information on how to o things a little better than you have been doing.

Being proactive in updating yourself has a lot more benefits than murmuring, complaining, and trying to sabotage someone else.

What are you doing to upgrade yourself to handle the next wave of intelligence?  Comment below.

Feminine Energy Meet

FEM meet 2

Here I am with the lovely host, Gisele.

I met a beautiful soul (Gisele) at one of my husband’s lectures last summer.  We’ve been connected ever since.  She’s had within her, for sometime, to do something about having a platform for women coming together to build.  Being the extrovert of the two (hee hee), I pushed her until she got it done.  So glad we worked together because it turned out being a wonderful gathering.  There were beautiful souls attending with much to share.  Children were more than welcomed.  They shared also.  All  women were either business owners or endowed with great information to share with those of us who are.  The journey of this meet was a sweet ride.  The South Cove County Park was the perfect location for the gathering.  Looking forward to working with Gisele again.  We have already talked about how we are going to revamp the meet to do more activities the next time.  Until then, I’ll introduce you to some of the other ladies and our special guest.

Set The Mood

good day

I look forward to waking up every morning.  I have this mantra I say to myself every day I get up:  “I will have a good; all day; very day.”

Why do I say this?  Setting the mood.

Just like you do with your Lover for a great evening, it’s important to set the mood for your day.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Benefits of setting your mood for a great day are:

  • Relieve stress
  • Helps you to have better coping skills
  • Decreases the level of depression
  • Boosts confidence
  • Increases productivity

These are just a few things that I noticed when others and myself do this everyday.

Hope this helps, and until next time……..

Much love,

Granny

Benefits of Meditation

Every night before closing my eyes, I do a checklist of all my activities that occurred that

meditation

day.  I do this as I meditate myself to sleep.

Meditating myself to sleep supports my mind closing down for the night so it won’t ruminate on the things that could have been done better or differently.  If you’re like me, you think of at least 10+ other ways you could have done something better and skip out of sleep as you do so.  Now that you know why you’re still so drained in the morning, you can do something about it.  One of those ways (one of my favorites) is by meditating.

The benefits of meditation are:

  • Relieve stress – Now how does this help if I’m doing a checklist of my activities at night?  Whatever wasn’t completed or not done well, I put it into a incomplete file in my mind to take care of when I meditate again in the morning (another post for another day).  Yes, I meditate as often as I can.  I have a very active mind.
  • Enhances self-esteem and self- awareness – You can talk to yourself and let yourself know that although you didn’t complete your assignment, there is always another day.  It enables you to be your own Life Coach.  Don’t exert yourself with trying to complete so many things in a day that you stress yourself out of a peaceful state.
  • Improves your ability to work under stress – My background is in Sociology and Psychology, so the events I experience happen with many crises.  Meditation helps  to relieve the anxieties that could result if I did not take the time to take care of my mental state as I go to sleep.

These are just a few benefits I experience as I meditate going to sleep.  If there are more that benefit you, share below in the comments.  We would love to hear from you.

Much love,

Granny

Exercise Your Brain – Not Your Devices

cell phone

Image found on Google

Growing up, we weren’t allowed to watch TV everyday.
We were encouraged to exercise our brain because if you left it idling, trouble was sure to come.

After I got older, and started investigating the matter myself as a teen, I inner stood more what they (older family members) were talking about.

People who watched more TV had a much slower processing time to think creatively, less common sense, and a more delayed response time as they supposedly interacted with others than those with fewer to no TV time.

Why?!?!

Each listing on the set is called a program…….. And that’s exactly what is happening.

This goes further than TV.

Our cell phones have programmed us so much because you can do just about everything (including work and stream movies) while you’re on it.

They’re called electron(ics) for a reason.

Question:

What if the longer you are on your electronic devices the more positive frequencies from your DNA is being transmitted to the so called powers that be (for whatever they choose to use it for) as they are transmitting negative frequencies back to you simultaneously?

Your eyes aren’t called the windows to your soul for nothing.

The next time you’re around someone with a lot of ailments, silently investigate how much TV or “electronics” time they get per day.

Take care in how much time you spend on electronics to pass time than to allow your mind to naturally recall your events or things you could imagine happening that could possibly end up as a business venture.

Stability = Perfect Peace

stability

So many times in life, we look for peace in every person or thing instead of ourselves.  One of the saddest things is to see someone attempting to live in peace and they are so scattered they don’t realize how chaotic they are.

Stability has always been one of my strongest areas.  I attribute it to the fact that I tend to keep the noise level in my head down.  This is achieved by writing a lot.  And I do mean a lot.  Writing for my mind is like Ex-Lax for my belly – it keeps me in perfect peace.

You will never achieve stability until your mind is well balanced.  Until then, you’re just jumping from one thing to the next hoping you’ll find peace when all you have to do is be still.

How can you achieve a well balanced mind?  Use what passion you have to quiet the storm in your mind.  For me, it’s writing.  For you, it could be something else.  Another thing I use when not writing is music.  I love just about an genre so I’ll listen to anything – except rap (just not my favorite – except Nas and Papoose.  They are the only ones so far that make sense to me).  It’s really just that simple.  Use your passion.

Proactively stabilizing your mind will support you achieving your goals because you are more laser focused on the priorities of minimizing liabilities and maximizing the assets in your life.  Using what you’re passionate about is the vehicle you need to enhance the ability of living in perfect peace.

Granny
